ACCWE Announces Launch of Innovative Accreditation Model for Workforce-Focused Institutions

Washington, D.C. – The Accrediting Council for Career and Workforce Education (ACCWE) today announced the official launch of its modernized accreditation model, designed to streamline processes, emphasize career outcomes, and better serve nontraditional institutions across the U.S.

"Our mission is to transform how accreditation supports schools and their students," said Dr. Jane Alvarez, Executive Director of ACCWE. "By focusing on equity, innovation, and real-world results, we aim to ensure that career education remains relevant and accessible."

The new model includes:

  • Simplified Application Procedures to reduce administrative burden for institutions.
  • Outcome-Based Standards emphasizing job placement and workforce alignment.
  • Enhanced Support Tools for accredited institutions to foster continuous improvement.

ACCWE is currently reviewing applications from a variety of career-focused institutions and anticipates announcing its first group of accredited schools later this year.
